If you are new to bodywork and massage, you may have some questions. Here you can find some of the most frequently asked questions and answers. Please contact me if you need further information!
How can I schedule an appointment?
You can always call me at +49 176 7199 2096 and I will be happy to book the best time for you. If I cannot answer please leave a voicemail and I will contact you. You can also fill in the contact form and request an appointment that suits you. I will reply within 24hours to confirm your reservation.
Are walk-ins and same day appointments available?
As the home studio operates during certain hours of the day, walk-ins are not available. You can always reserve your appointment as mentioned above. Same day appointments are sometimes available, however, it is highly recommended to book in advance.
What forms of payment are accepted?
For a single session I accept only cash. For packages of 3 or 5 sessions you could pay by cash or card.
What time should I be there?
You should arrive just 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow for extra time are for the interview and for you to get ready for your session. Have in mind that I will send you an intake form before your appointment to fill in so to save time.
What if I am late for my appointment?
The time of your appointment has been specially reserved for you, so please arrive on time. Should you arrive late I cannot guarantee you get the full time of the service you booked, as the appointments following yours will have to be accommodated. Full payment for your scheduled services is expected.
Will I get the full time of my reserved advanced bodywork and massage session?
Yes, you receive the full amount of time that you pay for. You will not be charged for the interview process or the time it takes you to get ready for your service.
When should I avoid booking an appointment?
All services at muscleXellence are non-invasive, relaxing and natural. It is therefore generally considered a safe approach for most people. However, at some cases it is better to avoid having an advanced bodywork and massage. If you have fever, contagious diseases, including any cold or flu or skin diseases, then please do not book an appointment. For health and safety reasons you will get an intake form which you have to fill in allowing me to decide if an appointment is good for you or plan your service in accordance with any contraindications.
What should I expect during my first advanced bodywork and massage visit?
We will discuss about the information in your intake form which you have to fill in after your reservation. This interview process is essential in order for me to adapt the session to your specific needs giving you the best possible results and without causing any harm.
Do I have to be completely undressed?
You should undress to the level you are comfortable with. However, it is suggested to leave the underwear on. Before you lay down I will step out of the room to give you privacy to undress and get comfortable on the massage table. Once you are undressed and on the table under the towel, I will only uncover the part of your body being worked on.
What should I do during my advanced bodywork and massage service?
Mainly you have to relax and enjoy it. During the massage session, please report any discomfort, whether it is due to pressure or a technique or due to any problems or distractions related to the environment, like room temperature, music volume, lighting, etc. Have in mind that you might have to follow some instructions related with muscle activation and muscle release or breathwork during your service .
Will advanced bodywork and massage hurt?
While there may be some discomfort when tight or tense muscles are manipulated, it should be minimal with a primary focus on relaxation. If you feel yourself tightening up or feel pain or discomfort, please let me know so I can adjust the pressure or technique.
Do I need to shower before my appointment?
You do not necessarily need to shower right before your appointment, but I do ask that you come clean and free of fragranced personal care products.
Can I have a shower there?
No, you cannot. However, before or after your session you could visit the rest room in case you wish to.
What if I feel rash or wart during my service?
Please let me know right away. Although at my studio I follow strict hygiene standards and all products are of high quality irritations might happen. This is why it is important to fill in the intake form which I will send you before your service in order to mention possible allergies.
Can I work out on the same day I get a bodywork and massage?
After a bodywork and massage, it is important to wait for at least 24 hours before doing any strenuous exercise. Your muscles will be softer and looser following the massage and you will be more likely to injure yourself, so it is best to allow your body time to recover and settle from the massage. However, it is best to work out before your massage.
